IGNOU Recruitment 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification and age required for the faculty positions at IGNOU are as follows.
Educational Qualification:
- Junior Assistant & Typist (JAT): The candidates must have done 10+2 or equivalent. Additionally, the candidates must have a typing test with a speed of 40 w.p.m. in English or 35 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer Desirable: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- Stenographer: The candidates must have done 10+2 or equivalent. The candidate must also have a typing test with a speed of 40 w.p.m. in English or 35 w.p.m. in Hindi on a Computer and Shorthand Test @ 80 w.p.m. Desirable Qualification is – A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
Age Limit:
- Junior Assistant & Typist (JAT): 18 to 27 years
- Stenographer: 18 to 30 years
Age Relaxation:
- Cut-off date to determine eligibility in terms of age of candidates will be the last date of Online submission of applications 21/12/2023. In case last date is extended, cut-off date will remain same as earlier.
- SC/ST/OBC(NCL)PwBD candidates who opt to apply for unreserved vacancies will not be eligible for age relaxation or relaxation in cut off marks which are otherwise allowed to those belonging to these categories. Further, reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD) who become eligible by virtue of age relaxation applicable in their case, will be considered only for reserved seats of the category to which they belong even if they have the merit to be considered otherwise for UR.
- Age relaxation permissible to various applicants is as under:-
